The Alienist Season 3 – Concept Of The Show
Set in New York City in the year 1976, the first season of the drama centered around the mass killings of male escorts in the city. The matter comes into the hands of Theodore Roosevelt, the freshly designated police commissioner of the city. Theodore Roosevelt hands over the case to Kreizler, an alienist who deals with criminals, and John Moore, a newspaper illustrator.
Two detectives from NYPD, Theodore, his secretary, and his appointee – all team up for the case and leave no stone unturned to get it resolved. The second season of The Alienist returns back with the same major characters but on a quest to solve a new and different case. The characters have all now progressed and evolved in their respective lives.
Laszlo Kreizler, The Alienist has become a New York Times reporter by now while Sara Howard has exited NYPD and set up a detective agency owned and controlled by her own self. The second season deals with a kidnapping case that brings both of them to work together.
In this kidnapping case, the victim happens to be the child of an influential man and in the journey that follows, Kreizler and Sara come face to face with crimes much more serious than expected.

The Alienist Season 3 Release Date – When Is The Show Arriving?
The Alienist premiered for the first time on January 21, 2018. The first season of the show ran for around two months. After nearly two years of this, the makers came up with the second season that premiered on July 19, 2020. The second season was presented to the viewers as The Alienist: Angel of Darkness and ended on August 9, 2020.
The makers have not dropped any hints about The Alienist Season 3 so far. No release date or schedule has been directly or indirectly conveyed. If we consider the time gap between the first and the second season and assume it to remain the same between the second and the third season, Season 3 should be out towards the end of 2022.
However, we do not have any certain idea yet. And to add to this, the COVID-19 pandemic probably would have made the progress of The Alienist Season 3 suffer. Let’s hold back and see what happens next.

The Alienist Season 3 Cast – Who All Are Coming Together For The Third Outing?
The show is based upon published sources and each season, it takes the story forward from where it has left in the previous season. The major cast for The Alienist Season 3 is expected to stay the same. This would mean a comeback of the faces that the fans have been waiting for.
Daniel Bruhl is going to be back as the alienist, Laszlo Kreizler. Luke Evans would be back as John Moore. Evans has expressed his soft corner for this role in the past and we do not find any reason for him not to be back. Dakota Fanning would also make a comeback as Sara Howard.
Apart from these three main characters, some other roles are also likely to be retained. New characters and appearances would definitely be there in The Alienist Season 3 depending upon the demand of the plot and situation.

The Alienist Season 3 Plot – What Is The Story Going To Be Like?
As we have already mentioned, the series has got a published source material upon which it is based. The third novel in the collection by Caleb Carr is available as well and The Alienist Season 3 is likely to rely on it up to an extent.
As we’ve already seen, the first two seasons of the drama dealt with different cases within the same setting and the same people in limelight. Likewise, the third season is expected to deal with a different fiasco as well. The third novel in the series also happens to be different from the first two.
We(Fiferst) have seen at the end of the second season that Kreizler, Sara, and John have moved in separate directions. Kreizler leaves New York for Vienna while John and Sara, who had some romance brewing up between them, part ways. John chooses to be with his pregnant fiance, Violet, and lead his life differently. Sara, on the other hand, shifts her focus on work with more emphasis and attention.
There are a few things that we can talk about. The show would be set up once again in the familiar city of New York. There is going to be some crime that is going to bring the team together for a journey that would end only after reaching the root cause of it all. All in all, it is going to be a treat for the fans!
