Akshay Dogra who lastly acted in the movie Dil Hi Toh Hai is now ready to start his web series career with the next web show Dr. Donn. The web series will be releasing on Alt Balaji and Zee 5. He will be playing the character of a police officer in the name of Abhijeet Choubey.
He is shown as a truthful police officer who is basically from Punjab. The main motive of Abhijeet is to show Ranveer Don as the culprit before the law so that the law will send him to prison.
Akshay Dogra’s statement on the new web show
After signing the new show Akshay reviled “This indeed is an exciting part of my journey as an actor as I make my debut for web, and who better to make it with than ALTBalaji and Zee5. It’s like coming back home for me, as I have earlier worked with Balaji. Every actor wants to play the role of a cop at least once in their career and I’m glad to have got that chance in my very first web series. Having put in my best effort towards playing the role, I hope that my character, as well as the series, is well appreciated by the viewers as always.”
The plot of the web show revolves around Ranjit Don who supported various students in cheating the competitive exams. Through his assistance number of students got admission to several prestigious colleges in India. He exposed various papers of competitive exams which include IAS, IPS, IIT, MBA, etc in the duration of 1995 to 2003.

Nakul Roshan Sahdev and Shweta Basu Prasad are also part of the web show. Nakul is playing a lead role in Dr. Donn. Nakul was last seen in the movie Gully Boy while Shweta Basu has lastly acted in the movie Shukranu.
Zeeshan Quadri’s banner Friday 2 Friday Entertainers Pvt Ltd has produced the web show. Actually, the shooting of Dr. Donn is yet not completed. Sources also reveal that Vikram Kochhar will be also part of the web series.
