The makers of Remove China Apps are facing heat from Google Play Store. Now, As per Google policies, any application cannot force the customer to uninstall other play store apps. Actually ‘Remove China Apps’ was made so that users can detect china apps on their devices and delete them. Remove China Apps was launched on 17th May, and from then it has become talk for everyone.
The app has reached a 5 million-plus download within 15 days of its release. The app is trending continuously among various social media platforms from last week. The app has come into the picture since coronavirus outbursts and has caught more fire from rising India-china border problems.
Policy Violations
It is one among those apps which got deleted from the play store after 5 million-plus downloads. Google play store deleted both apps to remove china apps and matron app one after the other in succession. Both of the apps get deleted from the google play store due to store policy violations.
Indian Express was the one who reported immediately after the deletion of the Remove China apps from the play store. But still, the main issue behind the removal of apps is yet to be known. The parent company of ‘Remove China Apps’ One-touch AppLabs, also shared the news of the removal of the app on the social media platform Twitter.
The company also shared that their intention wasn’t to defame any app although people across India are using it to uninstall Chinese apps from their devices. The latest tweet of the company about the incident – “promote or force people to uninstall any of the application(s)” and developed “for educational purposes only.”
Google also said pointing towards the company’s blog post confirming the removal of apps. “We don’t allow apps that attempt to deceive users or enable dishonest behavior including but not limited to apps which are determined to be functionally impossible. Apps must provide an accurate disclosure, description, and images/video of their functionality in all parts of the metadata and should perform as reasonably expected by the user.”
The company also included – “Apps must not attempt to mimic functionality or warnings from the operating system or other apps. Any changes to device settings must be made with the user’s knowledge and consent and be easily reversible by the user.”
It has been found that apps like remove china has been provoking people to remove Chinese apps. Many across India used to remove china apps to delete Chinese apps across India. Because of all this Google has taken action against this app.
