Outlander is a United States series that follows the novel of an identical name. The production of season 6 is going on in Scotland and executive producer Matthew B. Roberts has promised to series lovers that the show’s popular(ahem) sensitive scenes must come even they have to adopt more safety measures.
Even though precautions are most important but Robert says he won’t make changes to the theme of the drama. While talking to Elle Magazine he mentioned, “I don’t know how to write “COVID-friendly scenes,” certainly not an Outlander scene, because we are going to have people next to each other, being emotional—you talk close to people, and that’s where it transfers COVID. We had to figure out, how do we keep Outlander, Outlander?”
He further said that few alternatives consisting of using fewer background actors(in order to meet safety requirements) which means that the series will depend largely on VFX.
Now, if we talk about the launch date of the forthcoming season showrunners are yet to announce the Outlander Season 6 release date. But as the work on season 6 has begun so we can expect it to arrive by the end of 2022.

The beginning season of the drama followed the novel, Outlander(Cross Stitch) while the second season was extracted from Dragonfly in Amber. The third season was based on Voyager whereas the fourth season’s events were extracted from Drums of Autumn. And, season 5 was mainly based on The Fiery Cross.
This means that the next season will also follow any book of this series.
