Confirming the news the IPL Chairman said “The GC will meet shortly but we have finalized the schedule. It will run from 19 September to 8 November. We expect the government approval to come through. It is a full 51-day IPL.”

But the exact IPL 2020 schedules aren’t revealed. As per the sources it has been found that final hearings regarding the dates of IPL 2020 will be made in the upcoming week.

Actually, because of the Coronavirus epidemic, IPL 2020 was initially suspended. But finally, the decision has been made that it will be played between September 19 to November 8.

IPL 2020 has been made feasible because ICC has suspended the T-20 world cup which was going to happen this year in Australia. But the nation said that they can’t conduct matches in such severe circumstances.

The chairman has included they will follow the normal working process to tackle the coronavirus problem. The Board will officially send notice to the ECG(Emirates Cricket Board).

“We are making the SOP and it will be ready in a few days. To allow crowd or not, depends on the UAE government. Anyway, social distancing has to be maintained. We have left it for their government to decide on that. Will also be writing to the UAE board formally,” the chairman further added.

Initially, there were plans that IPL would be held from 26th September, but later BCCI shifted its inauguration date considering India’s Tour Of Australia.

“The best part is that 51 days is not at all a curtailed period and broadcasters will be happy with a full seven-week window,” Patel included.

He further said that initially there were 5 double-headers but now as per the modern scenario, there will be 12 double-headers which directly indicates that there will be double-headers every Saturday and Sunday.

Indian Cricket Team has to play a 4-match test series from Australia which will begin from 3rd December next to IPL 2020.

As per predictions, it’s obvious that all of the 8-teams of IPL require almost 1 month for their practice sessions. Therefore, the teams will depart from the nation on 20th August.

Actually, IPL 2020 was planned to begin in March but Coronavirus disease forced Cricket Board to suspend the tournament for some duration. And it was President Sourav Ganguly who maintained hope among the people regarding the happening of the tournament.
